Robert's Rules of Order
A widely used manual of parliamentary procedure that provides standardized rules for conducting meetings, making motions, debating proposals, and voting on decisions. Robert's Rules of Order establishes a framework for orderly discussion and democratic decision-making, including procedures for introducing motions, amending proposals, calling votes, and managing debates. Many corporate and nonprofit boards adopt Robert's Rules (or a simplified version) as their official parliamentary authority for meetings.
